General Introduction
The eValid Site Analysis Filters Menu controls which filter reports eValid makes as it scans a site. There are several kinds of filters and you can choose. See also the Site Analysis Preferences description. At the end of a scan you can review the reports that eValid generated using the Site Analysis Report Selection page.

• Site Analysis Filters
  During the scan every page that is visited is examined for certain properties, based on what eValid brings down from the website into the local machine. The filters are adjustable and can be configured for a wide range of effects.

  • General Filters
    These filters help you find broken links (any page that returns an HTML error code of 400 or greater), or pages that have a particular string, or pages that are "off site" relative to the definitions set up for your scan.

  • Age and Size Filters
    These filters create reports based on filtering age, size, and download speed of each page examined.

  • Complexity
    This filter helps you create a detailed metrics report for page that meet certain criteria (so you don't have to examine too much data) in terms of size, link complexity, HTML element count, and visible text size.

    The string filter can look at various parts of a page, and report on matches from a match-string that you specify. The match-string can include Regular Expressions.
