Introduction
The international edition of eValid, eValid/I,
has special properties and certain limitations,
described here.
Character Set
You need to make sure that
the appropriate international character set
is installed in your machine.
eValid/I will work on regular websites in text mode,
but the multi-byte Unicode
version needs the full extended character set.
Files in Unicode
Recorded test scripts will include Unicode characters and
all of the logfiles will include Unicode characters.
eValid/I lets you view these files, but the
standard eValid test engine may not be able to see these
files correctly.
Editing Scripts
Scripts are editable in the Script Window or in any
editor which supports Unicode multi-byte characters.
On some systems commonly known editors such as NotePad do not
support Unicode editing.
You must us a Unicode-enabled editor.
Error Messages
All eValid error messages and response documentation
is in English only.
Documentation
Documentation for eValid/I is the same as the
documentation for the standard eValid engine and
is in English only.
Compatibility With Standard Edition
Scripts recorded with the
eValid Standard Edition
will play normally on the
eValid International Edition.
However, because of the nature of the 2-byte character set,
a script recorded with the
eValid International Edition
won't play back successfully on the
eValid Standard Edition without first being edited with a 2-byte character set editor.
Constraints
The International Edition of eValid is supported only in Windows XP.
