Visual Demonstration [QuickCheck] Example
eValid Home

Introduction

Here is a demonstration of three basic scripts. By setting "Settings > Record/Play Preferences > Playback Status Notification", one can have a quick visual indication of whether a test passed, made a warning, or failed. Note: Passing will issue a green screen indicator, a warning will issue a yellow screen indicator, and a failed status will issue a red screen indicator.

Recording The Test

Start by copying the different script(s) on "this" WebPage then paste the script(s) to another file using your favorite text editor. Finally, save the script as "script.evs". Note: You can name the "script" file anything you want as long as you attach the ".evs" to the end of the file name. Load the script into eValid using "File > Open Script". Select "Settings > Record/Play Preferences > Playback Status Notification". Select "Playback > Start Playback" to begin playing back your script.

Lessons Learned

One can check and learn how one's WebPage or WebSite performs at any given time of the day. One good way of using this test is to run the script 24/7 and compare the times to get a reliable indication of how the site is responding to requests. Note: One important thing to remember is that the Web fluctuates in the amount of users accessing it and and the response time of requests.

Additional Information

The previous is a good test to run regularly to check your site's performance and make sure that performance is as consistent and desirable as possible.
