eValid has the capability to playback any recorded script multiple times. Multiple playbacks are used to visually inspect and "recognize" the variance in webpage download times.
Select a start page for your test. This should be the page that you intend to evaluate for performance timing. To begin recording select Record > Start Recording.
Click Record > Timer > Read Timer to have the elapsed time read into the event log on play back.
Once you have completed recording, select Record > Stop Recording.
The completed script is shown here.
Download performance.check.evs.
To enable eValid to play back the recorded script multiple times, first, click Settings > Record/Play Preferences...
...and set the Multiple Playbacks 'n' value option to the amount of times you would like to test the recorded page. For this example we will set the Multiple Playbacks 'n' value to 50. To enable all playbacks to be entered into the logs, make sure that Append to Logs is checked.
To start runing the multiple playbacks, select Playback > Control Playback > Run Multiple.
When the multiple playbacks have completed, open the Timing Log by clicking Window > Logs > Timing Log.
When you are finished viewing the Timing Log you can easily view the information in graphical format by viewing the History Chart. To view the History Chart you can either select the View Graphs button at the bottom of the Timing Log, or if you have closed the timing log, select Window > Logs > Log Graphs.
This will bring up the eValid Dynamic Analysis Charts and Descriptions page.
