Introduction

Multiple window recording demonstrates how eValid can record and playback webpages that open other webpages in new windows.

Recording The Test

Make sure the proper settings are selected in the preferences. Click Settings > Record/Play Preferences and in the Recording Preferences window, check the "Record" option and make sure the Show New Windows option is selected from the list box.

Select Record > Start Recording to start recording.

Navigate the eValid browser to a link that opens in a new window.

Continue recording in the parent or child window. When you are done recording, select Record > Stop Recording to stop recording.

Typical Playback

Click Playback > Start Playback to begin the playback process.

Click Window > Logs > Event Log to see the outputs of the validation activity.

eValid is capable of recording and verifying links, elements, and actions in multiple window scenarios.
