Introduction

The eValid Offsite Inbound Link Confirmation Test establishes that inbound offsite links are live.

Recording The Test

Start the test by picking the website that contains the off-site inbound link. For our example we will use http://www.faqs.org/faqs/software-eng/testing-faq/.

Select Record > Start Recording to begin recording your script.

Click on the off-site inbound link.

First, select Record > Validate > Document > URL to be sure that you arrived at the same file that was recorded in your script.

Select some text to be validated by first highlighting it with the mouse, and then selecting Record > Validate > Selected > Text.

Select Record > Stop Recording to stop recording the script.

Typical Playback

Click Playback > Start Playback to begin the playback process.

Click Window > Logs > Event Log to see the outputs of the event activity.
