Introduction

The ActiveX Control example demonstrates eValid's ability to record, test and playback on web pages that utilize ActiveX Controls.

Recording The Test

Before you begin recording, under Settings > Record/Play Advanced Preferences > Applet Recording, make sure that the various options needed to complete the recording of your test are selected. For this example, we will only need MouseClick Events enabled.

Go to the web page that contains the ActiveX Applet that you wish to test. Select Record > Start Recording to start recording the script. Interact with the applet; your actions will be recorded.

When you have finished recording your script, select Record > Stop Recording.

Typical Playback

Click Playback > Start Playback to begin the playback process.

When your script has finished playing back, click Window > Logs > Event Log to see the outputs of the validation activity.
